About the Event

Yin Yoga works with the meridian lines, which are used in Chinese medicine. These channels (meridian lines) conduct energy around the body, but they can become stuck and out of balance. Through holding postures for time (3-5mins) we aim to safely stress and nourish the connective tissues within which the meridian lines are held, and in doing so allow Qi (energy) to flow more freely.

The Autumn season governs organisation, setting limits and protecting boundaries. Moving from the expansive nature of summer towards a more inward, contracted state. The organs paired with Autumn are the Lungs and Large Intestines and their energy is 'letting go' so Autumn is a good time to let go of all the things which are no longer serving us in a positive way, to make room for new experiences which will help us grow and learn.

This class is suitable for all experience levels, including those new to Yin Yoga. Lots of options will be offered to make the pratice accessible for all bodies.
